I was just looking at it again on a map, they’re places in Turkey along the Mediterranean coast that are less than 200 miles from Beirut, along the coast with multiple paved highways.
On maps that show the road system, multiple highways exist connecting their two countries, thru fairly large cities like Iblid, Aleppo, and others, it would not be desert all the way thru hostile territory.
google the “6 DAY WAR”...or the HIGHWAY OF DEATH in Iraq. Israeli pilots would have a field day....
