My perspective, knowing some people who live in Turkey, live by keeping their feelings and thoughts to themselves - same as some people do in Iran. The old ones remember relative, particularly individual, freedom from Islamic enforcement (when it was not as rigid). And some of the young, follow up with their ancestors’ leanings.
(Youngsters whom I meet, like visiting the U.S. They really like the relative freedom.)
My impression is, that Turkish combat troops are nudged to act, but under threat from commanders, they will engage, get forceful, and apply themselves.
Turkish Air Force is very capable, with what it has. It can deliver bombs with very good accuracy - plus or minus a few feet. I am uncertain about air to air combat.
