I was scrolling Instagram this week when I came across another one of these videos. This one was of a woman and a man together ripping down the posters in Williamsburg. I almost skipped past it when I noticed something. I turned up the volume.

After the woman finishes scraping the remainders of the poster from the street post, while muttering the word calba, the Arabic word for dog, she then turns to the camera—presumably to the person filming her vandalism—and says, “F__k you. F__k you. And burn in hell.” And that’s when my heart dropped: I know her.

So who did Bush attack? Afghanistan and Iraq.

The correct response was to invade Saudi Arabia, depose the Saudi family, and flatten Mecca and Medina to cure the Muslims of their belief that the demon Allah is invincible.

I am an engineer by education and profession. I work in an engineering firm with many fellow engineers and scientists, both male and female. The ladies have at least as much college education as I have, yet they are not the sort of lunatics as shown in your graphic.

And, I thought my story was bad. When I was young, I had a friend who lived across the street from me. Several years ago, she and her boyfriend hacked an elderly couple to death with an ax. My ex-friend was after money to buy drugs.

Just spent almost an hour reading the wide-ranging comments at the site, from liberal to conservative Jews, liberal to conservative Christians, old people, middle-aged, the obligatory handful of libertarians and atheists—very interesting array of points of view. But there is lots of convergence about the perniciousness of social decay and sadness about our indoctrinated younger generations. Someone named Sgd427 made this astute comment about the poster-rippers:

College asks for 100-200 grand and in return gives you a purpose in life. To "dismantle systems of oppression" and be an annoying, sanctimonious jackass to everyone around you for at least the next 20 years.
