In the early days of Israel, the holocaust survivors who moved there, were not treated kindly.
They were resented because of the perception that they didn’t fight back, while many in Israel fought for Israel’s independence. They couldn’t fathom how they could just let it happen without fighting back.
It wasn’t until the Eichmann Trial, when they heard from the witnesses what really happened, that it started to change.
