Does anyone today have enough war material to fight any kind of big or protracted fight?

Actually, I don't know.

Any modern conflict will require rapid adaptation to new technologies and their rapid weaponization.

Likely any large inventory will not be the weapons needed at this moment, and to use that inventory it will have to be adapted.

Once adapted, it will be useful for awhile until the other guys find a weakness and adapt their inventory to exploit it.

Every part of the Battle Plan, including resupply, goes perfectly until the initial contact with the enemy.

In most categories we have huge stocks. China is problematic as it has considerable stocks and very large industrial capacity and manpower. Russia has it’s hands full with a weakly supplied Ukraine. If all the Muslims banded together, that’d be problematic for sure.
