You bring up a good point about China because nobody is talking about the real dirty secret that may be even worse than transmission lines - transformers.

We don’t even have the capacity to maintain our own grid without China much less beef it up and most neighborhoods mandated to “go green” will need new lines AND new transformers along with all of the other equipment that is mostly made in China.

China controls about 85% of the lithium-ion battery space (mining, refining, manufacturing, distribution) and we will need far more storage capacity to make this happen.

Too few understand the reality we face to implement all of this to deal with a “climate crisis”. The reality is that we are going to turn over our energy security, to include production (they make the solar panels and much of wind power too) to the CCP.

Leftists are famous for passing laws that are impossible to implement. They are idiots. The more college they attend the stupider they get

We have been at this "providing energy to America" thing for a very long time, during which I'm sure a HUGE number of mistakes have been made and corrected.

I wish people would open their brains (they deny what they actually see) and consider TRUE science and the logistics of energizing and caring for hundreds of millions of people.

WE have been remiss in not really learning about some of the people we have voted into power (don't get me started on the stolen election), and we are now suffering greatly for our laziness.

I'm in Pennsylvania and it is an embarrassment grande knowing that out of our Commonwealth came Richard Levine and Lurch.

I deeply admire your engineering prowess. Even with my mechanical engineering degree and career in power, I would never have conceived of your brilliant solutions.

Therefore, I am going to nominate you for the ASME’s George Westinghouse Medal for “Eminent achievement or distinguished service in the power field of mechanical engineering.” You should are a shoo-in.

The legal infrastructure of law firms and environmental groups are so entrenched now that any project faces certain delays until “they” bill enough hours and probably lose the case.

It would be cheaper to just pay them off up front and IF you see any kind of energy project that sails through without years of legal wrangling you can pretty much bet that is what happened.

Nothing happens in this space until the lawyers and advocates get paid - nothing.

I have friends who work for a company locally that does hybrid bus systems, the hardest nut to crack is the software to run the busses & trucks up and down our copious hills.

Exactly. With all those damned windmills, there’s no place to run powerlines. LOL.

Thank you! I’m deeply honored. (As I sit on my few acres in the country, surrounded by trees and timberland, I’m actually surprised I have electricity at all! To me, it may as well be fairy dust and unicorn droppings.)

Lets hire crooks to steal all the wiring and all the metal from high crime areas. They won’t get in trouble because they are stealing in liberal enclaves that encourage such behavior. If they get caught they can say they were protesting the use of fossil fuels or energy or for trans-cats or something.

We will use the metal and wires to build electrified fences around those areas to keep them quarantined until 100 years after they come to their senses.

This will reduce the demand on the electrical grid. And we can use the wiring and metal for expansion of the electrical grid in the blue areas.

Had one that looked like that. Used it to grind KNO3 for black powder.

So for this reason ALONE the fed will demand that you install solar/wind devices on YOUR PROPERTY to support your EV’s and ELECTRIC appliances.

Which is why the country of Chile nationalized their copper mines. To make sure China or some other foreign entity come in and buy them all up. Like they did with the Cobalt mines in Africa.

Peter Zeihan said months ago that there is no way for the US states to ever reach the 2035 EV mandates because of the raw materials required. There would need to be a 10X increase in the mining of Copper, Nickle, Cobalt, Lithium and a few other minerals.
That we have never had that much of an increase even during WWII.

Not only the copper lines are needed, but so many transformers, telephone poles, Insulators. And all the energy to create said infrastructure.
