He has a conservative.org CPAC rating last year of 73% with a lifetime rating of 74%. Some of his liberal votes were on military and foreign aid matters. One was to regulate the ownership of “big cats” — lions and tigers, etc. It seems like he accepts the Washington orthodoxy that COVID vaccines were good and going too long without a budget is bad. More damningly, he did vote for the establishment of the Jan. 6 committee.
But nobody is going to be right or agree with you all the time, and the votes that the ratings look at are a hodgepodge of things, some important, others not. Matt Gaetz voted for the “big cat” bill. Jim Jordan ducked it, maybe to maintain his 100% score.
Release ALL of the Jan6 tapes.
McHenry can’t do that?
As a good will offering.
Just listen to the constituents you're supposed to represent.
Shouldn't be your decision, RINO.
Problem is, the people think having no Speaker may be the best solution to their problems.
The ball is in your court GOPe, either allow someone not under your control lead, or enjoy the stalemated House where nothing moves forward, and the people are satisfied that at least those who hate their base are not in control giving everything away to the Democrats.
Good point.
Well I’m sure that all “Principled Republicans” agree that we have to make sure those who oppose the leadership in the House are both punished and denied funds for the next election cycle. Next is to select a Speaker who will “respect the institution” and return to “common sense rules” to prevent any more disruption of the leadership’s business of implementing the donor’s agenda.
Once that is accomplished we then will be able to return to the business of increasing tech visas for both Indian and Chinese workers, work with the Democrats to legalize the recent arrivals at our border assisting them in securing housing, health benefits, and integrate them into the labor force at a special wage rate to both help them enter the workforce and allow employers to reduce inflationary pressures on wages. No only will this help employers obtain low cost workers it will also force legacy Americans to more “realistic” on future wage expectations thus allowing our donor’s more profit. The next item is to introduce tax credits allowing manufacturing to be sent overseas and to have little to no tariffs from those manufacturers from our overseas “partners”. We can also send aid bills to Ukraine and other countries running up the deficit but we will blame the Democrats and claim things will be different once we’re in charge ( Should we ever be in charge we will have some “principled Republicans” stand with the Democrats to make sure the donor’s agenda stays on track).
Finally we will allow the Democrats to conduct their political show trials of President Trump and his supporters while piously proclaiming the we respect the “rule of law” and watch America’s decent into a one party police state. We of course won’t have to worry because our “friends” across the aisle assure us that if we take care of the “extreme elements” in the Republican party we can get back to doing business together and the club of politicized law enforcement will never be used against us. This will allow us to maintain control of our party and we can once again send the message to our voters that WE not they will set the direction of both the party and our country. It’s time for Washington get back to business without those “base” people interfering with the process and for “Principled Republicans” to again take charge and save our donor’s agenda and get back to bipartisan cooperation.
“The people that are involved in these proceedings are hell-bent on making sure that if it’s not their guy, their pick, nothing else matters.”
He’s acting like he’s not one of those guys.
“I’m done wasting my time calling Womacks office.”
Did you really think that anything you could say or do would compare to what he’s getting via graft and corruption?
Well, Emmer didn’t last long. 😉
There should be no middle or left wing Rinos in the party, or in Congress. That’s why there has been such a problem in the GOP for so many years. People keep voting for these a-holes, and do nothing but perpetuate the problem.
He only did that for revenge, because Pelosi and Hoyer stabbed McCarthy in the back. He's one of McCarthy's buddies. Democrats were supposed to vote against Goetz's Order to vacate the Speaker's seat. Instead they voted to remove McCarthy from his position, and it pissed McHenry off.
He is also guilty of that.
Note they never describe Ha-Keem Jeffries as the ultra-Stalinazi that he is (or virtually the entire Demonrat caucus, which purged anyone to the right of Karl Marx - even Krysten Sinema, who is a radical leftist, was too “right wing”).
Who is behind “libertyscore?”
52% isn’t Conservative by the CR Liberty scale. That’s a big fat “F.” He needs to be primaried out, period.
Yeah, I do. He definitely made his point. Too bad I voted for the two a-holes the GOPe offered us that year. Never again will I hold my nose and vote for any GOP candidate that I know doesn't have this country's best interest at heart. No more RINOS ever!
I should have said 52% means he’s just barely Republican
I Would prefer there be no middle or leftists R’s but the fact is that there are and reality must be acknowledged.
Get on your central committee, fight for strong conservative endorsements, and victories, primary the worst and do the grass roots work to make it better. That is what we can do. Get elected state delegate and fight for string platform strong candidates etc. run or support someone running. Etc.
