Former President Donald Trump's final chief of staff in the White House, Mark Meadows, has spoken with special counsel Jack Smith's team at least three times this year, including once before a federal grand jury, which came only after Smith granted Meadows immunity to testify under oath, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The sources said Meadows informed Smith's team that he repeatedly told Trump in the weeks after the 2020 presidential election that the allegations of significant voting fraud coming to them were baseless, a striking break from Trump's prolific rhetoric regarding the election.
According to the sources, Meadows also told the federal investigators Trump was being "dishonest" with the public when he first claimed to have won the election only hours after polls closed on Nov. 3, 2020, before final results were in.

Name one Trump prominent hire/appointee that Trump (or his supporters) hasn’t trashed as an incompetent idiot in public?
Was he responsible for any of these awful hires?
How come this *never* happens to DeSantis?
And, Trumpites typically loved DeSantis until Trump told them not to.
The point is Trump has basically trashed every single one of his prominent hires/appointees, and to point this out apparently makes it the fault of Trump critics.
These idiots think Trump is the entirety of the problem and if they can just take him out, everything goes back to “normal”.
In fact, they are the problem and anyone with two brain cells can see we are coming to the end stages of the deep state disease based on nothing more than the insane debt they are racking up.
People hate them so much that anyone who convinces the public they are the enemy of the ruling caste is automatically the preferred option. Anyone who votes for or is connected to the garbage ruling class is at best seen as a clueless rube, at worst a traitor.
Right now they are trying to systematically isolate Trump, but really people turning on Trump were merely opportunists who were both sabotaging and profiting from the Trump administration. No one really believes the lies former Trump officials are being coerced to tell.
The ruling class think they can make an example of Trump to discourage anyone else from exploiting the hatred the rest of the country has for them. But it is highly likely Trump won’t be the last.
Just the most benign.
81 million votes—oh my!
If one can believe that, one might even believe corrupt Jack Smith!
One can testify as to what they heard someone say. That isn’t hearsay. It’s not direct proof, but it can be considered circumstantial evidence.
Meh…..Horse manure
Steve Bannon as Chief Of Staff would be “as good as it gets”.
Meadows ... Pffft!
Or on the take and/threatened with the Epstein treatment.
This is a police state now. The left is playing for keeps.
“Meaningless testimony that can be shredded under cross examination.”
It’s the judge even allowing Trump’s lawyers to cross examine? This kangaroo court is being run like no other.
Who is going to prove the stolen election if not Trump?
If an out-of-court statement by a person who isn’t a party to the action is presented as evidence of the truth of the matter asserted, it is inadmissible under the hearsay rule. However, there are many exceptions to the rule. Testimony about out-of-court statements made by President Trump are admissible in a case in which he is a party, because he is available to testify.
What claims did Meadows make the evening of Nov 7?
Times up.
“We saw it happening in real time with our own eyes.”
Yes, we did. Meadows can say the words he was told to say and/or was paid to say. That doesn’t change the fact that we saw what we saw
Grand Jury testimony is not subject to cross-examination by criminal defendants. If Meadows testifies against President Trump at his trial, then his attorneys will get to cross-examine him.
Do I look like I kept up with everyone in the Trump administration? We only hear about the train wrecks. The people who do their job and didn't cause any controversy we never hear about.
I think Ben Carson was pretty good. In any case, here is a list of Trump's cabinet. When you look through it you find most of his people weren't involved in controversy. They just did their jobs and did them well.
How come this *never* happens to DeSantis?
Didn't he have to fire someone the other day for putting out some inappropriate social media posts?
And, Trumpites typically loved DeSantis until Trump told them not to.
Trump didn't have to tell anybody. Trump is the best chance we've got at dealing with the corruption in Washington, and DeSantis was clearly a threat to that, so of course people were going to jump all over him for his bad timing.
I was perfectly willing to support him in 2028, and I've said so many times, but this ill advised effort to wrest the nomination away from Trump was a seriously bad mistake on his part.
Wow how I use to think there was loyalty and here we are,
one by one fall and betray so easily...
There has to be quotes out there somewhere. A Trump Chief of Staff was surely contacted by reporters at some point. No?
McConnell picked Trump’s Chief of Staff?

NEW: “I told ABC that their story was largely inaccurate. People will have to judge for themselves the decision to run it anyway.” George Terwilliger, Mark Meadows lawyer, to CBS News, responding to new reporting “Ex-Chief of Staff granted immunity, tells special counsel he warned Trump about 2020 claims: Sources”
