Port of Portland police arrested 44-year-old Joseph David Emerson after the plane landed at Portland International Airport. Emerson was charged with 83 counts of attempted murder, 83 counts of reckless endangerment, and one count of endangering an aircraft, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

I watch a lot of actual court videos (NOT judge Judy).
This case will be reduced to one count of endangering an aircraft. All other charges will be dropped and he will get probation along with community service. Will not be allowed on an airplane or in an airport while on probation.

Well, the most expedient way to murder people is not to idle the throttles - he didn’t grab the yoke or try to kill the crew first. Probably just wanted them to “Land this plane right now!” for some unknown reason.
Could have brain cancer or something growing in his brain. Or a TIA. or...a complete lunatic...I hope this is not whitewashed...for sure he will be on a no fly list.
So were the 83 or 84 people on board. Can someone be charged with attempted murder, etc. on their self?
