A Swiss populist party rebounds and the Greens sink in the election. That's a big change from 2019

GENEVA -- Switzerland's anti-immigration Swiss People's Party rebounded from searing losses four years ago to become the largest parliamentary faction after the election, official results showed, as two environmentally-minded parties lost ground despite record glacier melt in the Alpine country.

Pre-election polls suggested that Swiss voters had three main concerns: Rising fees for the obligatory, free market-based health insurance system; climate change, which has eroded Switzerland’s many glaciers; and worries about migrants and immigration.

The final tally late Sunday showed the people's party, known as SVP by its German-language acronym, gained nine seats compared to the last vote in 2019, and climbed to 62 seats overall in parliament's 200-member lower house. The Socialists, in second, added two seats to reach 41 in that chamber, known as the National Council.

Good news for Switzerland. At least some people are seeing the light. However, I fear it is too late. There are too many crocodiles in the ponds and they have taken over the environment.

BTW, you forget how much Google suppresses conservative news sites until you google something such as "Switzerland election results". Every single article on the first page of results was from a left wing, or even far left-wing site. From the Guardian to Politico every article was written from a left-wing slant. To even come to the ABC news article, I had to click to the second page of search results.

breitbart.com 10/16/23-——French President Emmanuel Macron called for all radical Islamist migrants residing in France to be removed from the country in the wake of the suspected Islam-inspired assassination of a middle school teacher on Friday.

President Macron has tasked Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin to carry out a “ruthless” examination of the files of those who “carry hatred and terrorist ideologies” over the next 48 hours in order to remove foreign-born Islamists from France, Le Figaro reports.

It comes after Dominique Bernard, a middle school teacher in the city of Arras, was allegedly stabbed to death by a suspected Islamist named Mohamed Mogouchkov. The Russian-born suspect was reportedly on the country’s extremist watch list — referred to as having an “S file” — prior to the attack and had also reportedly been subject to a deportation order in 2014 that was successfully quashed by appeals from pro-migrant groups.

Darmanin has said out of the over 20,000 S files — not all of which remain active — there are at least 489 extremist foreigners who are considered to be a danger to the country residing in France. A further 300 radical foreigners are currently in prison or under house arrest. The minister said that the government will seek to “systematically deport” them following the end of their prison sentence.

Switzerland is NOT the only country where the Greens are losing appeal. They have lost even in Germany. See here:

They’ve also suffered loses in Luxembourg:

There are too many crocodiles in the ponds and they have taken over the environment.

Didn't know that about Switzerland. Can they at least make leather goods from the hides or would the animal rights activists prevent that?
