A white Vallejo Police Department officer was recorded punching a Black woman in the face after she was involved in a car accident in Vallejo, California, on Oct. 13.
TikTok user Romyr Hamilton was nearby during the arrest and recorded the footage on a cellphone.
The footage captured Ofc. Colin Eaton forcibly removing the woman from her vehicle, slamming her against a cement truck, and punching her when she was on the ground near the 100 block of Admiral Callaghan Lane. The woman was reportedly a shoplifting suspect, according to the Open Vallejo.
Eaton is a six-year veteran of the police department and has a history of violent arrests.
“He punched me in my face,” yelled the woman.
Hamilton shared the video on TikTok, and it went viral. “Once she was on the ground, I think the punch was unnecessary,” said Hamilton. “She was just in a car accident. She’s still a human being. She may be hurt.”

One can find out a lot more about this incident in local news reports:
1. Driver was fleeing police, ran a red red light and caused the collision.
2. The driver of the SUV she crashed into sustained moderate injuries; her two 4-year-old boys escaped injury.
3. They had just stolen over $2000 worth of merchandise from a nearby store, and it was all found inside the car.
4. After the crash, both driver and passenger asttempted to flee officers on foot.
5. Passersby helped to pursue and detain the fleeing passenger while the driver was being arrested.
6. About two weeks earlier, the same women stole around $1000 from that same store and got away.
7. At time of her arrest, the driver was on felony probation for grand theft and shoplifting. She had been arrested on October 4, 2023, for stealing approximately $30,000 worth of merchandise from another business.
8. The female passenger who tried to flee had a $10,000 warrant for her arrest in San Mateo for burglary and a $50,000 warrant in Napa for grand theft.

She was violently resisting arrest. I have completely had it with these folks. Laws should be passed making it the death penalty for fighting with the police.
