The UK has the same problem we do.
It’s now run by its Deep State.
I chose the UK because with National Healthcare the Government seems to control some aspects of care, even when NH would not be paying the bill. These aspects are left to choice in the US. In several cases recently even though free care was offered abroad or donations were available, parents were refused the opportunity to take children abroad for specialized treatments and the children died.
We have a similar situation in the US where some hospitals commit very questionable medical kidnap (playing God in ambiguous situations).
Boston Childrens’ is famous in that regard.

The case was the latest in a series of UK legal cases where courts have authorized withdrawal of treatment against the wishes of parents. In such disputes, British judges have, with rare exception, sided with health professionals. In contrast, in North America when disputes have reached the court, the courts have invariably sided in favor of life-sustaining medical treatment requested by a loving family.
