“Something has to be done about the corporate elites.”

Aggressive anti-trust action to break up the mega corporations would be a good start. Break up the oligopolies, opening up markets to more competition which will benefit consumers with lower prices, more jobs, and more innovation.

A second important action is to reign in the foundations established by the wealth (Clinton Foundation, Ford Foundation, Obama Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, etc). Require any foundation to spend all of its money in 20 years. Any remaining money goes to the US treasury for the express purpose of debt repayment.

End “carried Interest” in the IRS code which allows wealthy private equity partners and venture capitalists to be taxed at a lower rate than the personal income tax.

And I really think in the end the Democrat leadership know things like trannies and even oil/enviro/climate are their disposable ‘just placate the base’ things they don’t really intend to actually do all that much about in the end.

But I guess as almost always, for everyone it’s all about the money and that is strongest in politics.

Nailed it. If the Democrats actually cared about reducing carbon emissions, they'd support nuclear power. No, it's not perfect, but it is the best compromise we have so far between satisfying America's energy needs and limiting air pollution.
