Some states have laws requiring electors to vote a certain way (with consequences) and others do not. In the states where it’s a crime to break one’s pledge i assume anybody who conspires to break the pledge is guilty of conspiracy. But in the other states where its not penalized, it might be ok?

Whether breaking your pledge as an elector is legal or not, the fact is that these electors were put under intense pressure to change their pledged vote. That’s my point.
