How exactly do they prove that Plaxovid is “effective” in preventing hospitalization? What if instead of giving them Plaxovid, you had them all wear a copper bracelet, and 37% of them didn’t end up hospitalized. Does that prove that the copper bracelets were “effective” in preventing hospitalization?

You could take a course in experimental design and learn what a “control group” is, or just look up up with a search engine.
