At least we will have a constitutionally-defined Speaker of the House.

Wherein the GOP will have a place in succession between Heels Up Harris and the illustrious Patty Murray.

“I don’t know if this will pass the constitutional test.”

I listened to one of the conservative house members make this point a few days ago. He also was concerned about precedents, and the effect once started; it will then become the norm.

If the house will not elect Jordan, then no speaker. It will not do anything useful anyway.

Follow the money. The CR ends in a month. Thanks to Gaetz who no matter is reasons (true believer vs angry because he couldn’t get out of this ethics charge) executed it poorly.

Jordan by allowing this demonstrates understanding of trying to not let the narrative of victory get snatched to defeat as if the republicans shot themselves so much that funding ran out even the most obtuse of Joe six pack could blame it on the republicans and right at Christmas all the ads about old people not getting checks courtesy of the democrats through Gaetz who is whether intentional or not an assistant democrat at the moment.

Jordan has preserved a heretofore path to salvage this out of.m a sure defeat. Well played.

Regarding your post 81. What a thoughtful and erudite response to a reasonable position. 🧐

“Print media and TV are still ruling that roost.”

Except most are owned by the communist party and nothing but manipulating propaganda machines. You and I might be able to filter the content for reality and truth, but most cannot.

a MAGA party sounds fun but i think trump will need the R party to have any chance to overcome the massive voter fraud in 2024.. If Trump and America fail in 24 then a Bull Moose effort in 26 could be worthwhile. if we can’t beat the Dems, then we may as well stomp on the R’s and force them to reorganize and select new leadership.

That’s quite a story about Matt’s partner in debauchery. Joel was left twisting in the wind for the lusty benders. Matt is such a stand up guy.

—”you clearly live up to your screen name loser”

Attacking the messenger is simply fallacious and displays a complete lack of understanding of the problems Gaetz started.

Please tell me why Gaetz the snake triggered his snit.
And his 17-year-old honey pot with her attorneys had nothing to do with it?
Forty-something Gaetz and a 17-year-old high school girl went to the Bahamas, something was wrong there, Jeffrey Epstein.

What was his plan?

With your devotion to Gaetz the snake, you will love Speaker Hakeem.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”
― Taylor Caldwell, A Pillar of Iron

To the tuen Burning down the House by Talking Heads

Ah, watch out
You might get what you’re after
Cool Infuencers
Strange but not a stranger
He’s an ordinary guy
Burning down the house

Hold tight
Now the party’s over
Hold tight
We’re in for pure disaster
There’s not going to be a way
Burning down the house

Get your tickets, pack your bags
Time for jumpin’ overboard
Marxist party is here
Too close enough but not too far
Maybe you know how screwed we are
Fightin’ fire with fire

Ah, all crap
Hey, you might need body armor
Breakdown
Night mares walking in daylight
365 degrees
Burning down the house

How about two last names? Supposedly, that’s the big thing in naming babies these days.

Never trust anyone that wears a bow tie outside of formal wear. It’s a hard and fast rule.

lol Just checked the rule book and you are 100% correct. Plus it lines up with empirical evidence of all sorts. lol
