How do you think the leadership became the leadership? They were picked by the members.

Matt Gaetz is a patriot. He smacked all the rinos out. You got a plan that could pull these idiots together?

This was a smoke-out operation.

Agreed. Matt Gaetz was masterful, which is not unexpected given his expertise with that operation.

Rep. Patrick T. McHenry, a good friend of China

He sure is. Wait until you get a load of his wife.

Great work, everyone. It was quite the hat trick for conservatives to completely blow up the leverage they had with McCarthy and actually empower the Democrat minority.

The Idiot Eight must be so proud of themselves. It was such a stroke of genius for these morons to cast their vote with every Democrat in the House to overthrow a speaker supported by 96% of the Republican members.

I eagerly await everybody telling me about how this all worked as planned: "Now we know who the uniparty/establishment/ RINO/swamp dwellers are and we're going to primary them all and unleash the power of the people and there will be much rejoicing with a free flow of MAGA hats and Beanie Babies for all."

His votes and positions are a matter of public record.

You make it sound like that’s a bad thing. I’m not so sure.

These twenty are insane because they keep voting for the same policies and expecting different results.

Not at all; they know exactly what to expect, and they like it. They are corrupt.

What’s your point about Mrs. McHenry?

It’s easy to “primary” a RNO, but uninformed voters often refuse to go along. They stick with the name they recognize.

The simple fact is Jordan lost the conference vote to Scalise decisively and then for his supporters to block Scalise and expect those voted for Scalise to back Jordan in the next round is just foolish and dumb thinking.
Added to that the intimidation campaign to get people to back Jordan....these kind of bullying tactics never works in politics.

It is just plain arthimetics, you cannot be the speaker if you cannot line up the votes and Jordan did not have anywhere close to that.

Matt Gaetz is looking pretty stupid right about now.

And I thought it would be hard to top this:

Someone suggested Byron Donalds. Can he be nominated?

Gaetz was an idiot to push the button on his negotiated "declare the speaker position vacant" power. Seems like he did it just because the could.

Like the child who sticks a fork into the light socket. Just because he could.

If you need a good chuckle: During the GOP primary campaign for 2016, Matt Gaetz supported Jeb Bush (please clap).

Well, if you leave the GOP, how can you “primary” a RINO?
