NEW YORK -- As more asylum seekers arrive in New York City, Mayor Eric Adams faces more hurdles finding them housing.

A number of migrant shelters now have to be closed because the fire department says they're fire traps

When it comes to the migrant crisis, it often seems like the mayor is between a rock and a hard place. The rock? More asylum seekers arriving every day. The hard place? Some of the shelters are less than ideal.

You're more than welcome. God bless you Texans. At least you folks stand for something, your state, America, God , guts and guns. I'm stuck in a liberal craphole in New Jersey. There's some conservatives folks here but few and far between. Nothwest of me is area known as Jackson Township. Folks out that way raise horses. Mostly Thoroughbreds for the various racetracks and also for, I believe it's called ''gymcania?(sp) is that like rodeo? Anyway, folks out that way are armed to the teeth and don't take to strangers too easy. The wife and I should have left when we had the chance. Too old now and not in the best of health. Yeah, Jose ain't gonna want to be around here when Old Man Winter shows up. I was looking at snowfall predictions for this area and winter is going to be bringing a lot of the white stuff. If I were Jose I'd be saying "Adios amigo, time to head south''.
