This may well cost us 2024 and I'm not sure there's a way back from an all Dem gov't in 2025. We're on the precipice like CA was decades ago. We're somewhere around the Gray Davis era perhaps. Arnold was the "shock" that Trump was but Arnold wanted to be loved so caved in.
McCarthy was doing what Democrats do as well.

Jordan should have been installed yesterday. As Gaetz said, this will reveal the hearts and minds of Republicans. They say one thing to their constitutents and do something entirely different in the House.
It is hard for me to believe they could be so blatant. They must really, really be bought off lock, stock, and barrel.
You mean the Kevin McCarthy who said "Bring it on" because Nancy Pelosi told him she'd stand by him if they brought the motion to vacate, and then reneged on her promise when Gaetz finally did it?
