Its users are mostly government employees, contractors, corporate managers, and academics, so yeah, it's mostly left-wing in its slant, It started out as a job-finding and networking site but grew into a monster. It's also a haven for hackers. fraudsters, and spammers.

About a decade ago, a former employer forced us to keep accounts there for marketing and sales, and my email was promptly stolen and used to spoof all of Germany. Created a heckuva mess that I still have to deal with, and all I got was a lousy 1-year credit monitoring service for free.
