GOP Reps Introduce Bill to Prevent Palestinian Refugees From Settling in U.S.

Hoping to avoid a repeat of the Afghanistan evacuation debacle where thousands of unvetted Afghans were able to enter the U.S. after fleeing Kabul, GOP Reps. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) and Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) have introduced a bill to prevent refugees with Palestinian visas from resettling in the United States.

The “Guaranteeing Aggressors Zero Admission Act” — the GAZA Act — will prevent Joe Biden from issuing any visas to refugees who carry a passport issued by the Palestinian Authority.

We can't let President Biden abuse our parole and visa rules to bring unvetted Palestinians into American communities the way he did with thousands of unvetted Afghans.

— Rep. Tom Tiffany (@RepTiffany) October 14, 2023

“At a time when the threat of terrorism is not only grotesquely on display but being encouraged and justified, it is critical that we do our best to ensure the security of our nation,” Ogles said, according to Newsmax.

After the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, it was revealed that thousands of Afghans — many who may or may not have assisted American forces during the war — weren’t even routinely vetted by the government. Vetting a non-citizen properly can take weeks. But Biden didn’t want to take the time to make sure these new arrivals from Afghanistan were who they said they were.

“Following the horrific attack by Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists on innocent Israeli civilians, the last thing America ought to do is trust identity documents issued by the radicals that oversee these territories,” Tiffany said in a statement. “We need to put our security at home first and that starts by closing the door to bad actors who might be seeking to enter our country.”

This needs to pass. We don’t need that crap here. We’ve already got all the problems we can handle with the jackasses from south of the border. America is not a septic tank OR a “refugee camp”. It’s my home. Keep the Palies where they belong.

What about Lebanon? Syria? What does a passport mean anyways? There are thousands of passports thrown away everyday on the Mexican side of our boarder. See where I am going with this?

Too bad we don’t have the senate and presidency to make this official.

Jordan was created as a home for those Arabs who didn’t want to live in Israel. However, the Jordanian monarch, and the dictators of Egypt and Syria didn’t want those Arabs either, thus created the “refugee crisis.”

The Arab countries, who know the Palestinians better than we do, don’t want them. (Look up Black September) What does that tell you?

I looked and couldn’t find any bill that was introduced to Congress.

Do you have any ides if it was actually filed or is it just a suggestion?

It will have to make it out of committee first if it was even introduced.

“Let’s see the RATs on record condemning this. The Squad’s reaction will be priceless!”

The bill won’t float. It’ll never get past the senate or won’t carry in court. The right to apply for asylum has been a central component of U.S. immigration law for decades. If the people coming in can prove they are in fear of their lives, they can get it.

You are concerned with the liberals condemning the act of turning people away from using a legal approved action for the safety of people? I’m more concerned with what the media is going to do with the conservatives refusing to help them. Besides, terrorists of all types are already coming across the US southern border as we speak for the same reason. How do you discriminate one from the other? What does a terrorist look like unarmed? Slippery slope in a landslide.

Won’t pass-you’re right it’s Kabuki.

What’s needed is a public calling for a democrat co-sponsor.

I’m sure the administration is already working on a workaround.

Have another country, say Cuba, issue them passports and this law will not apply. This admin is evil not stupid.

Like it, but I’d want an amendment to the bill deporting all Muslim Democrats.
