I agree with you...The country's long slide into socialism has effectively neutered conservatism. History informs me that only bad economic times, threats from abroad etc. can reverse collective stupidity of the scale currently infecting America.
A country with a majority tolerating an immigrant invasion and destruction of its own currency whilst pursuing overseas military operations, when they enemy is within its own borders, is in great danger.

No, because it has no governing core ideology, hence there’s no attempt to seek the compliance of its members or its candidates to one.
