Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” anchor Jake Tapper asked National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan why it looked like nothing was being done to rescue Americans currently held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.
Partial transcript as follows:
TAPPER: Is rescuing the hostages a priority at all? I mean, Israeli news media, like “Haaretz,” they say it doesn’t seem like it at all. And frankly, Jake, if my kids were being held hostage in Gaza — and, as you know, there are Americans being held hostage in Gaza right now — I’d want you to send in the Navy SEALs. What’s the conversation like in the White House about the U.S. conducting any sort of operations in order to save Americans being held hostage in Gaza?

I’m convinced they are all blackmailed in one way or another. This is why Trump is such a threat. They have to make up crimes to prosecute him for because he’s clean and isn’t a pedophile.

Well, not to defend Tapper but if we were serious about Americans being held hostage and recognizing those that were killed and rapped or abused, AND IF WE HAD A COMPETENT PRESIDENT, I think we’d be seeing a clear ‘release our American citizens now or in 24-hours we declare war on you whereup we will hunt down and kill every last one of you’ statement with clear preparatory actions. But know, we have a incompetent and senile president that doesn’t know what day of the week it is.

Gaza made a huge mistake in attacking Israel.
Lets remember these peoples responses on 9/11 for consistency. Many of these journoelite lived in NYC.
Hypocrisy will show they felt differently when where they lived was surprise attacked and thousands died.

Im convinced that the US has told BiBi that if they enter Gaza that the US will stop supporting Israel that is why BiBi hasn’t ordered the IDF to go in yet..yesterday they blamed it on the weather, please, its sunny and clear in Tel Aviv right now so knock off the BS..we all know what is going on here
Although, with the Iran hostage crisis, we never declared war or made such threats . Jimmy Carter authorized the rescue mission which failed, but otherwise America did not take strong decisive action.
Some think that the hostages were released as Reagan was being sworn in, because the Iranians were afraid of Reagan. If the bad guys of the world had any fear of repercussions of what we might do, events might happen differently. I’m sure none of them are afraid of Joe Biden.

I may be of a minority opinion, but if we have any plans for rescue missions or other actions to free our people, we should not be broadcasting our intentions on CNN. Such plans should be top secret, if indeed there are any plans.
Not only did they not rescue them, they tried to pressure other countries not to do it either.
