After the Civil war, there were some Fenian Raids against what was still the individual colonies with the objective of getting the UK out of Ireland... not logical and not successful.
We nearly had the Pig War over the San Juan Islands, but fortunately they decided to go to arbitration instead, and Kaiser Wilhelm award the Islands to the USA.
I think the US is safe from Canadian attack for the time being. After the Ukraine invasion Trudeau la tapette promised to increase defence spending and meet previous commitments.
