What is really dangerous is relying on some photo on the internet as “proof”. Heck - even unaltered video doesn’t capture “the truth” all the time. Look at the George Floyd video. When I first saw it I was shocked. After learning what the cops were actually doing, watching other videos leading up to it, and hearing that Floyd was whacked out on meth added a lot of additional information that was not apparent in the first video.

If we lose trust in the things we are shown, can’t trust what we hear, can’t believe what we read, if “truth “ only happens when we see it first hand, what then?
