Considering the obvious, that it was just Trump being Trump, I’m thinking he considered it to be constructive criticism designed to urge Netty to get tougher. Much like a lot of Trump’s rhetoric, it was done for effect.... and therefore, I don’t think it was necessary. I think Netty is already resolved to destroy Hamas now.
No he didn’t intend to help israel by saying it. He is pissed at Bibi and has felt personally slighted by him for 3 years. (Trump even said as much last week). So he had the chance to take a shot at Bibi because his pride had been demanding it for a long time. It’s all about Trump. Always is.
