I’m not an Azeri; I’m American by birth.
And no, I have not been to Europe.
The challenge is currently the issue of importing whole swathes of peoples from cultures which have no interest in assimilating with European nations. And we’re facing that more and more in America as well.
I think the motive is more to help Azerbaijan with regards to Iran (which Azerbaijan has more tensions with due being more allied with Turkey) than with regards to Armenia.

Israel accounted for 27 per cent of Azerbaijan’s imports of major arms over the decade 2011–20. Most of these deliveries took place in 2016–20, with Israel accounting for 69 per cent of Azerbaijan’s imports of major arms in that period. While there is sufficient information available publicly to determine the types of weapon supplied by Israel to Azerbaijan, little is known about the actual number of arms transferred. Of the major arms supplied by Israel, loitering munitions, reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), guided missiles and ballistic missiles were known to have been used in the 2020 war with Armenia as well as during some of the earlier border skirmishes.
For example, Israel delivered HAROP loitering munitions to Azerbaijan for the first time around 2015. They were reportedly used in border skirmishes in 2016 and saw widespread use in 2020. In addition, Azerbaijan has several Israeli-produced Hermes-900 reconnaissance UAVs. Some analysts have argued that Israeli-supplied loitering munitions and UAVs were an important component of Azerbaijan’s military superiority over Armenia during the 2020 war.
Israel supplied Azerbaijan LORA surface-to-surface guided ballistic missiles (with a range of 430 km) in 2018. This came shortly after Russia supplied a batch of a similar type of missile, the Iskander, to Armenia. There are reports that Azerbaijan used a LORA missile on at least one occasion in 2020, in an attempt to destroy a bridge in Armenia. Israel also supplied a Barak-8 air and missile defence system to Azerbaijan in 2016, which according to unconfirmed reports shot down an Armenian Iskander missile in 2020.
SIPRI estimates that arms exports to Azerbaijan accounted for 17 per cent of Israel’s total exports of major arms in 2016–20, showing the growing importance of Azerbaijan for the Israeli arms industry. In 2016 President Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan had spent $5 billion on military equipment from Israel. There is some speculation as to whether economic revenue is the primary driver for Israel’s ongoing arms transfers to Azerbaijan or if there are other major motives, such as Israel’s dependence on oil from Azerbaijan or a shared threat perception towards Iran.

Unquote.
I appreciate the upgrade from “Israel hater” to sarcasm poster.
“Crossing a border there is like crossing a state border in the U.S. Still, each nation of Europe has control of its language and culture (though of course there are tensions). And, each has its own Olympic team ...”
Isn’t that Great !
Globohomo destroys everything important and unique about Nations and Peoples, national sovereignty and borders, but leaves us with ethnic costumes and sports teams.
Yeah, things just aren’t the way they used to be in Germany. No more war. Just peaceful democracy and a high standard of living. Makes you long for the good old days.
When the EU circus collapses, you will have greater poverty and more war and death than you ever had prior.
Because that’s what happens when you worship idols.
The EU is an idol for the EuroElite. They think if they worship and sacrifice to it, that the EU will give them prosperity and freedom from war.
But idols are false gods. They collapse and crush those that worship them.
In the end, you will have destroyed your nations AND will have poverty, war and destruction.
When the EU circus collapses ...
Is this what Putin is waiting for?
Is this what Putin is waiting for?
---------------
It is what I am waiting for.
This Satanic Entity builds a second Tower of Babel and dares the Lord to do something about it.
Israel hasn’t been involved much in Ukraine and you should know that.
Even as brilliant as Putin is, you’ve got to admit he made a boo-boo invading Ukraine when all he had to do was wait for the impending collapse of the EU. Then, he could have simply picked up the pieces.
Hey, I’m sure even Albert Einstein didn’t get everything right.
Hi, dforest, this is big news. The U.S., Ukraine and Israel aren’t on the same side. Did you hear this direct from Putin? Do you know if Russia, Iran and Armenia are still on the same side, now joined by North Korea?
One reason to drag this war out with a purely defensive strategy, as the Russians are doing, is the longer this goes on, the greater the energy and economic crisis and the greater the internal pressure on the EU countries.
There wasn’t a lot of coverage by the FR Ukrazies on the Slovakia election result. (Just like the Mainstream media greyout, go figure).
Not surprising, since that is how things are going to trend in the future.
I haven’t talked to Putin since before I was born. I did follow news out of Israel regarding Ukraine though.
Hello, not an Azeri,
Do you think Nagorno-Karabakh is the only ethnic enclave in the world?
Within the U.S. we have many ethnic enclaves, and no problem. Many of them are quite pleasant, even tourist attractions. Maybe you have been to one or more of them.
Do you have any hypothesis why ethnic enclaves work within democracies but are sources of conflict and even violence elsewhere?
Thank you. Finally a Putinbot who is responsive. So, yes, invading Ukraine was a mistake. But, the mistake was made and not even Putin himself can go back in time and fix it. So, instead of waiting on the other side of the 2014 ceasefire line for the collapse of the EU, Russia is now waiting on the other side of the Dnieper River for the collapse of the EU.
“...instead of waiting on the other side of the 2014 ceasefire line for the collapse of the EU, Russia is now waiting on the other side of the Dnieper River for the collapse of the EU.”
The Dnieper is a much more defensible border for Russia than the 2014 contact line.
What’s happened in Israel shows the risks of having a hostile power aligned to other hostile powers right on your border with no geographic barrier.
Any nation with that situation is constantly at risk of surprise attack.
