I don’t think anyone has any leverage to stop them. The Democrats, at least publicly, have to appear shocked and angered by what the Palestinians have done, so they’re handcuffed if they want the big money to keep flowing in.
In the 1973 Yom Kipper War, the Soviets threatened nuclear war if we didn’t stop Israel from ‘finishing the job’...so we stopped them.
Now, it’s different - Putin can threaten nuclear war to try to get the Neocons running DC to stop Israel, but I strongly suspect that Putin knows that, given the videos that have come out and the huge numbers of deliberate civilian deaths, Netanyahu is not in any mood to take orders from the Neocons. This is NOT 1973.
So this is going to have to play out and the only real danger now is Iran getting directly involved. The question is whether Putin is able to stop Iran, as no one else has any leverage over that country.
In 1973, Israel was looking for a way to end things. They could have easily finished destroying the Egyptian army and overrun Syria. However, what would they do after? Would it be worse?
Israel and the US have the same problem- Liberals. Liberals are liberals first and believe their country is evil. How many liberals willingly helped and are helping Hamas, and the other 11 groups invade Israel? How many Liberal Americans and RINOS are willingly assisting our enemies destroy the US?
