It would be in their interest but is a reach.

In what way would a rapprochement with Israel be in Saudi Arabia's interest?

From what I see Saudi Arabia has already been trying to normalize relations with Israel. Peace in the region would be a net gain.

In 2022, Saudi Arabia lifted its ban on Israeli overflights during a visit by President Joe Biden to the kingdom. Israel and Saudi Arabia do not have official ties, although they have developed strong but informal connections over recent years over their shared concerns about Iran’s growing influence in the region.

The UAE became only the third Arab nation, after Egypt (1979) and Jordan (1994), to establish diplomatic relations with Israel, ending a 25-year period without such ties.Sep 15, 2023
