The problem is Hamas and hostages are imbedded in densely populated ant-bed of Islam among civilians in Gaza.

Without good intel this is impossible. The only thing that will save their lives is probably not an option, as that option is capitulation. Capitulation just means this insanity will continue. Perhaps a statement that the rules of war and the Geneva Conventions rule for war are null and void would save them. The bad guys have perhaps a few hundred hostages, we do not know. Tell the bad guys that their population of civilians are now legitimate targets in war. Oddly, those civilians understand this as it has been their practice for years.
