I’m thinking tunnels. They had a Netflix show regarding Israel and Hamas, and it looked as though the Palestinians were simply going back and forth underneath the border fortifications. While Israel is good at detecting tunnels, it is clearly a cat-and-mouse game, with the tunnels getting harder and harder to find.
Oh yes, I forgot about the tunnels. Hamas said the hostages they took are safe in their tunnels.
