News flash: The USA has been in decline for the last 30 years. It is already collapsing. No one is going to save it.

Is Jordan sufficiently conservative enough for Matt Gaetz and Andy Biggs? Is he too conservative for Nancy Mace and Ken Buck? These individuals will determine Jordan’s fate. No one else in the House matters.
If so, then it sounds like Gaetz move was the right move.
I personally thought Jim Jordan can best serve by remaining where he is and raining down holy hell in committee. I was surprised when he said he would contend for the speakership.
Backing off, Jordan may be presenting himself to clear up the immediate mess. Thinking long term, if he wants he can only serve for say about 15 months or so and a new Speaker election when the air is clearer.
Scalise, his family and doctors must decide the health question.
If THIS truly happens, January 6th. should end up looking like a church social... :(
Looks to be shaking out with Jordan on top. I don’t feel like anyone more conservative is attainable.
