Downtown Detroit is getting gentrified, it’s actually pretty cool there now. They’ve done a lot of stuff along the Detroit River.
As a ‘Michigander’ at heart, I’d really like to check it out for myself.
They can gentrify all they want, but if the same kind of people remain in charge and pursue the same polices, then the same situation will just repeat. Maybe they get a good decade or two though before the cycle happens again.
