I was curious who Danusha Goska is, so I googled her. The first hit was on "Rate My Professors" and she has lots of fans and many who don't like her.

But the second hit was an article she wrote about "Faith In Focus" -- "Excerpts from the prayer life of a cancer patient."
By Danusha Goska, February 10, 2020.

You get some real insights into the woman behind the article you posted. She's quite a good wordsmith (but very wordy and lots of seemingly irrelevant digressions and colorations) and I enjoyed this personal story of hers. It's quite an emotional roller coaster. You might enjoy it, too.

The last paragraph of her personal story about cancer is wonderful...
...prayer is what I feel compelled to do when people I love suffer. Prayer is what I do when I am in danger of immediate death. Most of my prayers have not been answered in the way that I wanted them to be. I have stopped praying for years at a time. I started praying again not because I think God wants me to but because prayer turns me into one kind of person and no prayer turns me into a different kind of person. I work better as the former, the kind of person who prays.
