I’m 30 miles south of the Portlandia freak show.
One of the two phrases that Portland is associated with are accurate.
“The City that Works” is inaccurate.(They’re lazy bums)
“Keep Portland Weird” is very accurate.(Only Big Cities in California & Washington are weirder.)

Sorry, Portland easily beats Seattle for weirdness. It’s been Portland’s stated objective all along.
What’s it like 30 miles south? We visited friends in Sherwood a couple years ago and it was still nice there (10 miles south of Ground Zero) but the camps were strewn along I-5 almost all the way to Salem.
