That’s a good score! Thanks for taking the quiz!
Thanks Luvie!
Thank YOU for your staying power! :)
I did tonight anyway. LOL Sometimes they don’t work as well.
Well, enjoy it while ya can. LOL!
Did you finally get some rain? Has it cooled off some?
We had a tiny shower sometime this afternoon, and we didn’t know about it till hubby went to check the mail. Nice surprise! Of course, we probably didn’t hear anything, because they’re cutting down that massive annoying pine tree next to our fence next door, and were making a ton of noise. Not complaining. I’ve fussed my last time about all the darn pine needles everywhere, including all through the house to step on when least expected.
12 of 15 right on this quiz.

No, as I’ve said the last few days, we won’t get any rain until the end of the week. As of tonight, they’re saying late Thursday night through Friday for this end of the state. Not expecting much since it isn’t a very wet front to begin with.
We need enough to knock the dust down. Harvesting has begun and the air is nasty. blech!
Great that you had the surprise shower this afternoon. You need it more than I do.
And you’re finally seeing the end of that pine tree. Yay! ‘Bout time they took it down.
That’s an awesome score! Thanks for popping in!
Well, but you, too, could have gotten a surprise shower. It happens! Rarely, but it does. I feel for you having to breathe all that harvest dust. Ack. At least it’s NOT cotton! I think we’re getting some of that stuff when the wind turns toward the north. My allergies are worse than usual this week.
9 for 15. Food quiz left a bad taste in my mouth.
You mean you weren’t in love with all those yummy foods?
I guess no one has been. Great score, though! Thanks for taking the quiz!
No surprise showers when there’s no rain anywhere on this side of the MS. The big high situated just north of us is blowing the air to the west and slowing the front down. Durn high needs to get outta the way!!
The one good thing it’s doing is keeping the smoke from Canadian wildfires away from us. The smoke has been going out over the Atlantic and dropping down to hit FL, southern GA, and southern AL instead. Once the wind blows out of the north, we’ll have that smoke along with the harvest dust to contend with. Jus’ luverly.
I feel for ya having to deal with cotton pollen. I only drive past one cotton field this year, on the way to the museum, and it’s not blooming much. He planted it late this year but early enough it should be full of blooms and cotton balls. Not sure what happened but I don’t mind not sneezing whenever I pass it. LOL
Today at Chisolm Trail Park:
We have a Level 2 or slight risk for severe weather in our area today. We'll see what happens.
I did a little better on the quiz than you did Luvie. I got 8 out of 15.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Gizmo looks VERY pleased with your outing yesterday.
I hope you get some rain today, but no severe storms. That lake needs water big time.
Oh, I know all about that high or one just like it that was like a heat dome over us the entire summer. I know there are mixed feelings. If you get lovely rain, you also get that nasty smoke! You’d think they’d have found a way to put those things out by now. Canada has gone to pot since Trudy took over!
Yeah, this high has kept us toasty this week. It’s taking it’s jolly time moving on. Once it moves, we’re going to feel a big difference this weekend. Now they’re saying highs around 68 Sat. and Sun. with lows in the upper 40s both nights. brrrrr That’s going to be a shock because we aren’t acclimated at all. LOL
Once the front moves through, the wind will be out of the north and we’ll get smoke with or without rain. I’m not holding my breath on the rain. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you get the rain before that nasty smoke or during...in order to clean the air.
I sat out on the front porch for a bit earlier. It was so nice and cool with just enough of a breeze to feel good. Had to come in, though, because my allergies started creeping up. Ugh
Guess I’d better head out for the night. All that noise from them cutting on that tree kept me from having much of a nap. See ya tomorrow.
Mine are crossed that we don’t get the smoke, period. That’s the last thing we need right now.
At least you were able to sit outside for a bit tonight. Sounds like it was nice out there with a little breeze blowing. Don’t you know the kitties are loving it?
Sleep well. I hope they’re finished with the pine tree so your nap won’t be interrupted tomorrow.
Only 7 out of 10. It was all a blur. I never paid attention to pop culture then.
