None of the Republicans who voted to dump McCarthy have a chance.

Personally, I don’t think Gaetz has any interest in the position. Whoever is interested will obviously need his support, but that could be a number of people.

"There must be quite a story here. McCarthy was confident - he must have counted noses. There must have been a group operating in secret."

Uh, Democrats?

"Wow, Trump is so popular in the GOP, now he takes a major loss."

How is this a "major loss" to President Trump, who has supported both McCarthy (for Speaker) and Matt (for the perpetual phony lawfare used against him)?

He supported McCarthy as speaker. I am not sure how much he supported the backbencher, but it doesn’t amount to much. How did he support him?

Agree. It is extremely interesting. An unprecedented event, never happened before in history, and some of the RINO's and Democrats didn't seize the opportunity to sell their votes and profit immensely? There is more going on than what we can see from our vantage point, for certain.

Gaetz is very smart. Steve Bannon one of driving forces behind this.

The last guy who followed Bannon’s advive ended up as POTUS. Trump fired him and talked smack about him. Bannon ignored it and continues to be his biggest supporter.

That’s a man on a mission.

Um, no.

nickcarraway has been trying to make Trump look bad, for having endorsed and supported mccarthy, and what a mistake and bad choice mccarthy was and turned out to be....

among 100’s of other people.

You know, like how bad a mistake it was for Trump to endorse desantis, and how bad desantis turned out to be....

lol...

“Well, since McCarthy is Trumpโ€™s guy, so did Trump.”

Well, no, again.

That sentiment makes you feel so much better, doesn’t it.

And I hate to burst your bubble, but it will not hurt Trump in the least.

Steve Bannon, the man who called himself a Leninist?

The person who did this is well-versed in House strategy. It's someone who is in the House.

Trump has already grumbled about it. Remember, the only reason McCarthy won in January was Trump.

This judge considered himself unaccountable. He should be disbarred. Since the point of the exercise was to convict Trump regardless of evidence there was no needle Trump could have threaded. Kangaroo courts are like that.

“””Hmm interesting there are 2 vacant seats currently so that leaves 7 non votes. I am trying to look them up now but not having any luck yet”””

Luna just had a baby so she was absent and she probably would have joined with Gaetz.

Pelosi was attending Feinstein’s funeral.

If you go to the roll call, the clerk called out the names of the non-voters.

Wouldn't it be great if the republican conference was united in the goal to put America first and not their careers as a professional politician or beholden to their wealthy donors?

It is also the hold the party has over re-election funds from the party for new members that mean the difference between a second term and unemployment.

The party is beholden to the donors and the members are beholden to the party.

The Federal Government controls trillions of dollars that the Donor Class wants.

The Congress controls how and where those trillions go.

It is a vicious cycle.

"Whereโ€™s the J6 videos? ๐Ÿฅด

Another promise broke."

Yes and no. He released a YUGE set of footage but only to Chatsworth.

"House Speaker Kevin McCarthy granted Carlson access to more than 40,000 hours of security camera footage from the Capitol riot, which the Fox News host played sections of on Monday night to suggest that a majority of the people who stormed the building that day were "not insurrectionists, they were sightseers."

Carlson said the footage will show that Democrats, as well as former GOP lawmakers Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, who sat on the January 6 House Select Committee, "lied" about the events of the Capitol riot. Carlson has frequently been accused of playing down the violence of January 6 while pushing conspiracy theories about the attack on his primetime show."

The footage revealed the "Shaman" goon strode the interior of the Capital unopposed by at least 9 USCP, and also that Sicknick died in his sleep a day later, untouched by the J6 Capital tourists. It also added to the wtf-about-Epps without adding anything conclusive.

What really should yank everyone's chain, is that those 40,000 hours are still in possession of multiple someone's, possibly Chatsworth's production crew at his former Faux home studio; and possibly if Chatsworth had the alacrity to immediately save-that-shit (debatable), someone in his crew might still have it.
