The Democrats might make a deal to save Mccarthy but why would they, they could easily let McCarthy be removed and then watch the chaos as Republicans could not muster the votes to elect anyone, while the Democrats sit back and laugh and tell the voting public, Look the Republicans can’t govern, they can’t even elect a speaker and when they do they end up removing him.
If a MAGA Republican gets nominated for Speaker, no RINOs will vote for him and if a RINO gets nominated, no MAGA Republican will vote for him and with such a small majority, chaos will ensue, just like all the votes it took to elect McCarthy in the first place.

No, the Speaker pro tem will run the House just as a regular speaker would. Since the House has already adopted the Rules for this Session, regular order would proceed and the work of the House would continue.
The reason that the leadership battle for McCarthy roadblocked the House was that there was no Speaker and no Rules adopted for the beginning of this Session.

That status quo being that the Biden and the Democrats continue to get whatever they want, there will be no border security measures implemented as all of that is up to the Executive Branch, Ukraine will continue to get billions printed out of thin air, while the Republican’s can get in front of a camera every once in a while and talk about the meaningless ‘victories’.
If chaos does ensue then that means that the House isn’t doing anything. Meaning Congress isn’t doing anything. Meaning they aren’t harming the American people.

Ever since then, having learned, Congress has been nothing but Omnibus, CRs and whatever they throw at the last minute to they can rush it through with no debate, no nothing and we continue to get screwed, while they line their pockets and the pockets of their donors.
