Listening now to the proceeding on CSPAN. My opinion of Gaetz has gone up dramatically! The majority of the republicans fail to realize (or just don’t care as long as they get their cut) the danger the republic is currently in. They actually believe they are making progress countering the progressive Juggernaut.

Yet, corruption in government runs rampant, our county is being invaded without resistance, the US treasury doors are wide open to the world, and the only people fighting back are being viciously attacked by the courts, politicians, and media.

I’m all for getting a new speaker, but we still don’t have the Senate. Even if we did, those losers would cave, too.

In the end, it’s all about making a statement, and nothing more. They’ll continue to cave in, and simply call it bipartisan.

He will just be the latest victim of being Republican speaker. Whoever succeeds him will suffer the same fate.

Even Mark Levin, who has pretty much sold out to the fringe elements who buy his books, was ranting against this stunt last night, kind of a nice change of pace for him.

I feel like our country is now pretty much separated into a few broad groups. One, those who understand reality, see what is and is not possible, and work to do the best they can to make the most positive impact within that reality.

Two, those who don’t understand reality, and believe they can make things happen that will never happen, and therefore think that those who do not make those things happen are bad people who need to be opposed.

Three, those who understand reality, but don’t care, they feel it is better to fail and watch the world burn, than give in to any expectation that compromise might be necessary. Plus they can make lots of money at it.

Four, those who don’t really care what reality is, they just really like to watch the world burn, because it is funny and gets them hits on social media.

The 4th group is getting way too big, it’s like a fictional Gotham City except there half the population are Jokers.

The 3rd group might be reachable, if you can convince them to give up their narrow self-centered viewpoint and consider what might work for humanity as a whole.

The 2nd group is the scary ones, because they are like religious zealots, these are the people who actually believe a born male can become a female, that climate change is actually going to destroy the world in 12 years, that hundreds of people are involved in a top-secret conspiracy to tweak voting machines against one or two candidates while leaving no trace and allowing every other candidate they would oppose cruise to victory.

Often, those in group 4, like Matt Gaetz, pick up a decent following of type 2s, who despearately want to believe something good could happen.

There is no world in which the House will have a speaker who is “better” from our perspective than the current speaker. People who want to show their disdain for giving anything to the democrats by teaming up with the democrats seem unserious.

It really seems sometimes that Trump was correct. A lot of republicans just got really tired of winning. And now they work really hard to lose, lose spectacularly, and feel better about themselves.

" Democratic leaders recommended Tuesday that
colleagues vote against saving McCarthy."

What? You mean the Democrats were only pretending
to like McCarthy? LOL!

How on earth does Jeffries get a majority of the votes when they are in the minority?

The only way he could realistically win is if a handful of Republicans switched parties and became democrats.

Tell us exactly how there is any other way.
