Kevin McCarthy failed in an initial vote to block an effort to oust him by Rep. Matt Gaetz, putting his position as House speaker in peril.
Gaetz’s "motion to vacate" the speakership will now head for an official vote.
To prevail, McCarthy or his foes will need a majority of those voting, not just Republicans. Typically Republicans can lose no more than four GOP votes on party-line votes when all members are present. Democratic leaders recommended Tuesday that colleagues vote against saving McCarthy.
And the market is down 500 points.
This is a tyranny of 10-15 people over the rest of the government.
They cant get the votes to do anything. So instead they burn it down like a bunch of autistic morons with ADD.

The funny thing is the RINOs did this to themselves. They went miles out of their way to sabotage MAGA candidates. They starved them of funding. They even took out ads against them. In order to tamp down the REPUBLICAN vote, Lindsey Graham proposed a nationwide abortion ban that he knew the public did not support.
The RINOs succeeded largely in preventing a red wave election that would have swept a lot of MAGA Republicans into office.
As a result their majority in the House is razor thin making them dependent on.....MAGA House members. LOL! Idiots. Why would McCarthy or the rest of the America First House members trust McCarthy or the rest of the RINO Establishment any further than they can throw them? McCarthy is going to drag his feet on impeaching Biden or Mayorkas or Merrick Garland or stopping any of Biden’s policies? OK, withdraw MAGA support. Let him fall.

the way to regain sanity in spending was to take the 8% cut deal they turned down a few days ago - remember that? - or finish the appropr bills that will languish now. Gaetz will stand with 10 others and govern? a magic wand won’t work - grinding it out day by day, taking wins and losses, moving inch by inch - that’s the route. but do enjoy your virtuous fairy tale. i like happily ever after!
