Given how the country is deeply divided over the Ukraine war except for official Washington, you have to wonder how the public would react to thousands of American casualties and 100 million dollar fighters being shot down
I would hope the public would react with righteous anger and actually force action by Washington
War with Russia means Civil War here, half the country will simply refuse to fight and will resist efforts to force them too.

As it is right now, the public is complacent and asleep at the job in regards what is taking place in corrupt D.C. It will have to get much worse before they take notice and by then it probably will be too late.
The present war in Ukraine tells us that USA wonder-weapons would be depleted quite fast. The war would be sharp and short.
According to the Interweb, the USA produced 300,000 airplanes of all kinds for WWII. How many F-22s and F-35s do we have? A few hundred? How many factories do we have producing them? Parts?
