Did he articulate how he is going to eliminate the refugee resettlement programs? You know the ones that Pres Trump tried to defund but couldn’t because they were part of a budget package. However, Pres Trump being Pres Trump, he found a way around that and given that he can set the numbers, he just started to reduce the numbers allowed in every year. So much so, that the companies...not charities even though they have ‘charities’ in their names....were firing folks and going out of business.
I started in law enforcement in 1997. Every year, the Border Patrol tries to hire folks. Every year. It’s a lousy job.
Pres Trump, using the powers that he had, used the law to make that job, not so lousy. The Border Patrol was actually allowed to do their jobs instead of babysit illegals.
Birthright Citizen thingamajig was intended for black slaves whose parents were forced to come here where the family started.
That should have been an easy change when Trump had a super majority.
Problem is much of what Trump did were EOs that were only valid until the next President came in.
refugee resettlement program is a totally different issue and has nothing to do with the situation at the border. But then again, the same can be said about Seeking Assylum in a third party nation. But Biden is trying to claim it can be done knowing that in the end under the law these people would be desported.
The BIGGEST problem is that the laws already in the books are not boing enforced
If Biden can make them legal through an illegal executive order a Republican can make them illegal through an executive order to enforce the actual laws
