He is from Turkey so let start with Turkey as the global test bed.

5 year test.

Turn off all oil and natural gas imports. Close down all domestic energy product from gas/oil/coal.

Force Turkey to live on only the energy they can generate from renewable sources.

Come on Prof. Lead the way. Show the world how it will work.

“We” don’t have to do any such thing. If you wish to, feel free. We in America will do nothing to stop you from slitting your own throats economically - but don’t ask us to participate.

At this COP conference held in Glasgow a couple of years ago, Greta was there, but she exited the conference and was pissed off that their proposals didn’t go far enough to suit her.

There’s no pleasing Greta.

Lomborg - who believes in man-made global warming quotes ***$100 trillion, but you can find other articles stating cost of $150 trillion and, personally, i think it goes way beyond even that.

19 Aug: Las Vegas Review-Journal: COMMENTARY: Let’s stop the panicked fear-mongering
By Bjorn Lomborg and Jordan B. Peterson
Consider the alarmist treatment of climate change. Campaigners play up fear while neglecting to mention that reductions in poverty and increases in resiliency mean that climate-related disasters kill fewer people. Over the past century, deaths have dropped 97 percent. Heat waves capture the headlines. Globally, however, cold kills nine times more people. Currently, higher temperatures are resulting in 166,000 fewer temperature-related deaths annually.

Fearmongering and suppressing inconvenient truths are pushing us dangerously toward the wrong solutions. Politicians and pundits call for net-zero policies that will cost ***far beyond $100 trillion while producing benefits a fraction as large...

just one of the $150 trillion examples. there are others, even ones suggesting this is a low estimation:

28 Oct 2021: Yahoo Finance: Fighting climate change is a $150 trillion battle: Bank of America report
by Ihsaan Fanusie
“$5 trillion is [the amount of investment required to] fully decarbonize the world,” Global Strategist and Managing Director of Research at Bank of America Merrill Lynch Haim Israel said in an interview with Yahoo Finance. “It’s the annual number that will have to be the average for the next 30 years. Total investment is $150 trillion over the next 30 years, a massive number.”

Even in global terms and over a 30-year span, $150 trillion is a gargantuan amount. The latter number is almost twice the total global GDP in 2019, whereas the $5 trillion yearly figure would be equivalent to the entire U.S. tax base...
