Former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign early Sunday left a birdcage and bird food in front of GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley’s hotel room door in Des Moines in reference to his new nickname for her, “Birdbrain,” per a photo shared with The Messenger.
The Trump campaign shared the photo early Sunday with The Messenger and later posted the picture on Twitter.
Trump debuted the moniker prior to Wednesday’s debate on his social media platform Truth Social. It's unclear why he came up with that nickname in particular.
"MAGA, or I, will never go for Birdbrain Nikki Haley," Trump wrote in the post. "Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Haley had a strong performance at the debate, and Trump posted about the former U.N. ambassador afterward as well.

I am afraid that Trump correctly judges that it is necessary to stoop to the lowest common demominator and correctly judges how to do it.
This may stave off the demise of the Republic, but does not bode well for her long term health.

It is funny on a certain level. Compared to Biden, it is even presidential. Whether or not it is presidential, who am i to judge? Do I look like the Pope?
I doubt Reagan would do it, but I also wonder if this present electorate would be capable of choosing Reagan over Biden or Reagan over Trump.

If Nikki Haley wants to become President, she'll have to get used to shenanigans like this. Fortunately for her, it will never get this far because she will drop out in the primaries. So the mainstream media will never have an opportunity to destroy her.

During the 2020 campaign, someone in Brandon’s family posted a picture on FB and Twitter of Brandon’s German shepherd dog tearing up a Trump doll. I objected at the time because I thought it was a representation of the violence of the left towards our President. This birdcage gift is funny.
