I live in a part of Cobb County within the Marietta city limits and have never seen all you describe.
In the 2020 elections the Democrats owned the elections with Brad Raffensperger signing the Judicial consent decree to settle the suit brought against the Executive branch by Stacey Abrams. The Democrats cheated every way they could think of.

As for the movie folks, thank the Lord for the writer strike. I hope that the studios and producers start using AI much sooner.
It’s an interesting but hard to believe thing. The movie “Deliverance” (Burt Reynolds/Jon Voight) kicked off the film boom iirc. The beautiful topography + the huge Atlanta Airport encouraged more. Then GA started offering incentives for filming here and the flood really started.
