As RedState reported, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is set to launch an independent presidential campaign after first challenging Joe Biden for the Democratic Party nomination.
According to multiple sources, the official announcement will come on October 9th in Pennsylvania.
2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to announce he will run as an independent on October 9 in Pennsylvania, Mediaite has learned.
Kennedy’s campaign machine is now planning “attack ads” against the Democratic National Committee in order to “pave the way” for his announcement in Philadelphia about running as an independent, according to a text reviewed by Mediaite.
This is not good news for Republicans, and there's empirical evidence to back that up. According to the latest polling, RFK Jr. enjoys a very high approval rating among Republicans while he's extremely disliked by Democrats.
If this does happen (and it's a big if!) it could easily backfire on the GOP nominee. Kennedy is significantly more popular among Republican voters than among Democrats. QPac poll found him +30 among GOP, -43 among Dems. Siena had him +36 among Trump voters, -35 among Biden. https://t.co/yc3RoxaoKr pic.twitter.com/Xf3IXf6Qs4
— Jacob Rubashkin (@JacobRubashkin) September 29, 2023 I'm not the only one worried about that dynamic either. Several of Donald Trump's biggest boosters are sounding the alarm as well.

— Jack Poso 🇺🇸 (@JackPosobiec) September 29, 2023 None of this is happening in a vacuum. In fact, the two people I just quoted above were some of RFK Jr.'s biggest promoters, and they are hardly alone on the right. Many conservatives, specifically those skeptical of the COVID-19 vaccines, latched onto RFK Jr. very early in the cycle as some kind of anti-establishment figure. In fact, the only reason he has much of a platform today is because of right-wing media.

Why would you want him as a Dem nominee to run against Trump?
My question is why is RFK doing this? Who is he trying to hurt Biden/Dems or Trump. He knows he can’t win. If he did win as a 3rd party abd got into the WH he’d get the Trump treatment from the establishment or worse, he’d get the Kennedy family treatment from the Deep state.
RFK jr is to the right on trump on some things. And to the left of most reasonable family people who dont support grooming and know a man cannot become a woman.
Trumps DACA amnesty was a success tho, right.
And yet many do.

In other words, you would prefer Biden to win rather than Trump.
You weren’t paying attention in 1992.
RFK Jr will take Trump apart over the “three vaccines all are very, very good,” “beautiful vaccines”, ”one of the greatest achievements of mankind”.

Oh please, use your brains. First that is the way Trump talks about anything, second this was early in the situation when the President was getting advise from the very man that created the virus and was lying to him.
Nobody knows everything and so we often have to turn to someone that is suppose to know about certain thing so I don’t blame Trump for following the advise of “experts”.
But none of that matters. I am not a one issue sort of guy. I look at the entire picture and right now there is no one other then President Trump fighting for all of us, so he has my vote.
Don’t we need republican establishment votes too?
Most folks don’t get it! He’s a RABID ANTI Gunner
“You’re missing the point. Ross Perot, as a conservative, peeled off a lot more Bush votes than Clinton votes, which swung several states in the electoral college. Likewise, RFK will cannibalize Biden votes in favor of Trump.”
Perot was bought and paid for.
Mission accomplished...
Oh please. He was dreadful in senate endorsements and the house endorsements were guaranteed wins he knew. He didn’t do anything to help 2022 but made it worse.
“””This is good news for Republicans and there’s empirical evidence to back it up. Ross Perot, as an independent, won 19% percent of the vote in 1992 and easily prevented the incumbent, George Bush, from re-election.”””
You are the first person I’ve seen on FR thankful that the Clintons and the Democrat party took over the American presidency and American politics from the Republicans.
Post a link.
>>We will see how that works, I hope the shadowbanning from all media like it seems he is currently stops.
That is extraordinarily unlikely.
One of the big lessons you should have gotten from Covid is that Big Pharma owns everything. Big Medicine (hospital chains), Big Public Health (CDC, FDA, et al), Big Media (look at the ads on the alphabet networks and MSM news channels), and most national politicians.
RFKJr has committed the cardinal sin of loudly opposing Big Pharma. Again, Big Pharma owns Big Media via their ad spend. He will continue to be shadowbanned by them.
It’s very, very difficult for me to see RFK Jr hurting the Rat Party nominee even a little bit.
I know you would like this, but I doubt he will take Trump apart. Your boy is not without sin regarding this and he has no way of winning with, or without, Kennedy.
Vaxes and the war for Kennedy. He still is a RAT on quite a few issues, though he is better than a progressive.
And that I believe was Perot’s goal. He had some kind of feud with George H.W.Bush.
Anti-gun, pro-abortion Perot was no conservative and he accomplished the political vision for America he desired.
RFK helps the Democrats if he runs.
This is from your article and the poll.
“According to the Rasmussen Report survey, 41 percent of Democrats have an at least somewhat favorable view of Kennedy along with 56 percent of Republicans and 49 percent of those without party affiliation.”
The media can work with this and keep selling RFK to the nutty right while solidifying the democrat voters away from RFK and back to party unity.
