No, he’s running to be the nominee, IN THE HOPES that Trump is convicted. Big difference. Figure it out.

If Trump is convicted - if the system is so rigged that that unlikely event takes place, then it’s safe to say that whoever ends up winning the general election will have done so at the pleasure of the deep state. If that ends up being DeSantis then it will just demonstrate what the rest of us have already figured out about him, and the most he’ll do against the deep state that allowed him to win, is the Trump pardon you refer to. While that would be a good thing for Trump, under the circumstances, and none of us want to see him in prison, it will be a sorry consolation prize for having had our government stolen from us.
