I was going to respond to this article. But the thought of trying to convince people that the rise in their wage means the rise in everyone else’s which means that the cost of doing business and employing people rises which means that the costs of doing so will be passed on to the customer in terms of higher prices for the products which these minimum wage employees will now have to pay on everything they buy which means their mandated raise has F’d them ... well, I’m just worn out.

The people most affected by this senseless, never ending battle are those who are reliant on a fixed income. No one gets to negotiate or strike about that. I’m 78 and retired for the past 24 years and thank the Lord I don’t have to rely on S.S. alone to survive but I know too many people who are trying to live only on S.S.
Yes, it’s their own fault but I still feel compassion for them.
This will be good for Mexican restaurants because they can pay their workers less.

Yep, and many times nowadays at Mickey’s they are so behind in the morning drive thru because they’ve reduced the number of employees they nuke old McMuffins and undercook their hash browns.
