JUST NOW: Rep Matt Gaetz (R-FL) tells @CBSNews at a GOP meeting this morning he accused Speaker Kevin McCarthy of having or paying social media influencers to trash Gaetz.
So.. that’s where things stand. Less than 72 hours til a shutdown
Is there any real difference between the GOPe and the rest of the party that votes to keep the feckless “leadership” in its positions? Its a party that doesn’t really want to lead or fight for anything.
Some people vigorously supported him.
Some people can't remember history ...
Gaetz take a LOT of heat, but when the facts are in, he is vindicated.
Didn’t Gaetz say that he filed a notice to vacate or is that just talk?

It’s not just Kevin McCarthy, yesterday on Steve Bannon’s War Room, he Raheem Kassam were trashing Cassidy Hutchinson’s book by showing her in bed with Matt Gaetz, evidently screenshots have leaked of the two sleeping together despite her proclaiming otherwise and by association Matt Gaetz sleeping with the enemy
We’re going to see the $40 trillion mark passed well before the end of this decade. We’re running over 3 trillion dollars a year now in deficits. Mathematically incomprehensible.
Yeah, when people say “GOPe” we have to realize we’re talking about probably 90% of the politicians and bureaucrats in the party. Not 90% of the voters, but the professional class of the party, it’s at least that much it seems.
Just talk. Gaetz talks a good game.
How does he know that?
No, CBS doesn’t have stories like that but two things about that:
1) I’m glad to know once again the Republicans are doing more to go after conservatives than they are against Democrats. This is exactly the kind of thing why people say “uniparty.”
2) Democrats don’t trash each other this way. The only real exception is during Dem vs. Dem Primary elections. Kamala called Biden a racist or at the very least implied it. Then became his veep.
This is an ongoing problem. McCain did this, Boehner did this, Paul Ryan did this, Mitt Romney has done this, McConnell does this, post-Presidency the Bushes do this. The republicans trash their own members and they trash their own voters too. Maybe you can find that one time that that one Democrat said something (I’m sure it exists) but this is sitting Speaker after sitting Speaker after sitting Speaker after Presidential candidate after candidate after Senate Majority leader. These are high-ranking republicans who are constantly trashing their own voters and it is many, many of them!
This does not occur on the other side.
I would agree. Unfortunately GOP voters don’t seem to believe in accountability or result from the people they vote for. If they did, the GOPe would be a much smaller percentage of the party.

Coming from a Marxist non news outlet, one wonders who told them to spread this rumor and how much were THEY paid to do so.
Obviously the Marxist party wants a gov shutdown to increase their chances of winning the house back.
