Real Estate Insiders Bewildered by Judge’s $18M Valuation of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago: ‘Would list at $300M’

A New York judge’s Tuesday ruling valuing Donald Trump’s sprawling, headline-making Florida estate at $18 million has left industry experts perplexed.

In his verdict, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron delivered a bombshell ruling that the former president committed fraud by inflating the value of his wealth, with details including the monetary value associated with Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.

This decision, which came down without a jury, has sent shockwaves through political — and real estate — circles, especially that $18 million base value for the property.

One prominent Palm Beach real estate broker, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told The Post, “It’s utterly delusional to think that property is only worth $18 million.”

The insider added, “If that property were on the market today, I would list it at around $300 million, minimum … at least. He also has the separate golf course minutes away.”

Engoron’s verdict holds Trump, 77, along with his family and his business empire, the Trump Organization, liable for fraud — a central allegation in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit against the defendants.

In a 35-page judgment, Engoron sided with James, asserting that Trump had made unequivocally false statements in official documents to secure favorable terms with financial institutions.

Notably, Trump’s claims, such as his triplex penthouse in Trump Tower being 30,000 square feet when it was closer to 11,000, were also described by Engoron as “fraudulent” given their significant discrepancies.

However, the ruling raised eyebrows when Engoron, a Democrat who ran unopposed in the general election on Nov. 3, 2015, evaluated the worth of Trump’s prized Mar-a-Lago Club resort at $18 million, ruling that the property was inflated by 2,300%.

Yes, it’s in the DemoMarxist book of tricks, just make pretend you are an expert in any thing and people must accept it.

Just like the climate “experts” Al Gore, AOC, John Kerry. Zero qualifications, zero expertise in atmospheric physics, but all they have to do is make pretend they are experts and people must accept it even if it destroys the entire economy.

I was puzzled as well until I realized last year that our government is under enemy occupation. Once I realized that, everything they do makes sense.

This enemy wants to destroy the USA from within, Trump wants to “make America great” which is the exact opposite of what they want. So what do they do? They do everything they can to destroy him and to be honest, I have no idea how we are going to defeat them being that they pretty much control everything today.

While we were sleeping they covertly took over literally everything and they control the minds of half the country now with their media. Think about it: They are so effective in propaganda, they had people literally believing “Make America great again” was racist and white supremacist which is absolutely insane.

If Mar-a-Lago is worth only $18M, does the State of Florida (and county etc.) owe Trump a lot of money for charging him with too much tax? Maybe FL should sue NY or Leticia personally for practicing real estate appraisal without a license!

Maybe Trump’s NYC neighbors should sue NY AG too for indirectly devaluing their property....

This is a civil action without an injured party. How is this even before a judge?

This may more preposterous that the Bragg case. But Leticia wants to try to keep her campaign promises whether they make sense or not.

Trump should immediately petition the FL town where Mar-e-Lago resides for a drastic reduction in his property taxes. I’m thinking that any response from the Assessor’s office would support Trump, and cause embarrassment to this commie prick judge, and immediately undermine his ruling. Legal jujitsu.

I am not a violent person, but have to agree…this is a dangerous public servant.

I lament that our institutions have all been taken over by authoritarians who are not interested in truth or fair play.

“i wonder what the real estate assessment says.”

I don’t know, but the actual county assessment looks pretty low to me. Could be due to tax breaks the resort gets. But this is what the 2023 taxes are estimated to be: $602,833.72

Sometimes the assessment value is significantly lower than a real estate agent’s asking price, but I think you know that. I wonder if the NY governments (state and local) understand that, or pretend they don’t understand.

I think the person in question is about as dumb as it is possible to be and still be breathing (Letitia James). The fact that we have people in power this stupid, not to mention this corrupt, is clearly a symptom of the epidemic of “duh-uh” that America has fallen prey to via the Marxists. I believe a poster here rightly called it a Kakistocracy.
